Line-up confirmed for next weekend’s Alt.Fiction Festival, Derby

From an Alt.Fiction news update:

"Derby City Council has confirmed the line-up for Alt.Fiction 2008, the third annual one-day festival of science fiction, fantasy and horror writing, which takes place on Saturday April 26th.

"The Darwin Suite at Derby’s Assembly Rooms will see the usual range of great readings, including authors such as Brian Lumley, Michael Marshall Smith, Charlie Stross and Mike Carey, plus the annual publishing panel, this year featuring representatives from Voyager and Solaris Books.

"The Assembly Rooms Reception Suite will offer a great range of panels looking at topics including scriptwriting, world-building and making a career as a writer. The Reception Suite will also host a mass book launch featuring a great range of new talent from leading genre publishers.

"The 45 Suite in the Assembly Rooms will host an afternoon of workshops featuring authors such as Justina Robson, Tony Ballantyne and Kim Lakin-Smith as well as agent John Jarrold and Christian Dunn of Solaris Books.
