The Independent and Audible.co.uk have teamed up to make a very special offer that Iain Banks fans will love: you can currently grab yourself a FREE download of the audiobook version of Iain Banks' seminal debut novel The Wasp Factory.

The new audiobook version of The Wasp Factory was published in March by Little, Brown audiobooks. The narrator is Peter Kenny, an actor and singer who has worked widely in theatre and broadcasting, appearing with, amongst others, the Royal Shakespeare Company, A&BC, Coventry Belgrade, and the BBC Radio Repertory Company.

The free download has been serialised on the Independent website since April 2nd; the final part of the book will be posted on April 11th. You'll need to open a free account with Audible.co.uk to get hold of the files, and may need to install the Audible download manager on your main system. Once you've done that, and have received the files, they can be uploaded to a wide range of audio devices - or burnt to CD - to be listened to at your convenience.
