Out Now: horror anthology ‘Beneath the Surface’ [Shroud Publishing, US]

"Brand new publisher of suspense, horror, and dark fantasy, Shroud Publishing LLC, has announced the release of its first compilation of modern horror stories: Beneath the Surface, 13 Shocking Tales of Terror (ISBN 978-0980187007, Trade Paperback), which features more than 13 original horror stories written by award-winning authors hailing from across the United States and the United Kingdom.

'Beneath the Surface: 13 Shocking Tales of Terror' ed. by Tim Deal "The stories were compiled and edited by Tim Deal, a former Seacoast, NH musician and founder of The NH Edge Digital Magazine and Music Series. Deal's foray into fiction publishing occurred in November 2007 when he launched Shroud Magazine, The Journal of Dark Fiction and Art.

"Beneath the Surface was released on the heels of Shroud's inaugural issue, which has garnered a subscriber base that extends around the globe. Deal is currently preparing the second issue of Shroud Magazine, which is scheduled to be printed in late March.

"'It's my goal to introduce the wonder and thrill of speculative fiction to a much wider audience.' Said Deal. 'To that end, I have enlisted some of the top names in dark fiction to fill our pages.

'Our fist issue alone featured rare and original work from Michael Laimo, Tom Piccirilli, and Tim Waggoner. In addition, our inaugural issue also included an insightful interview with horror master and award-winner Brian Keene.'

"Beneath the Surface has already garnered substantial praise from a number of talented and award-winning authors within the genre.
