Write Fantastic authors visiting Birmingham SF Group, September 15th

Posted in: What's On on 6th August 2007 by UKSFBN admin

Vicky Cook of the Birmingham SF Group writes: "The Write Fantastic is an initiative by a group of fantasy authors to introduce fantasy fiction to readers who have never tried the genre, and to show those who have drifted away the breadth and depth in current fantasy writing. We look forward to welcoming five members of the group on Friday 14th September."

"Chaz Brenchley, Juliet E McKenna, Deborah J Miller, Stan Nicholls and Jessica Rydill - whose work covers the gamut of fantasy writing from orcs and dragons, through high heroic swords and sorcery, to reimaginings of myth and history, and the magics of matter, mind and spirit - will be coming to talk to us and will happily answer any questions about the genre, writing, and pretty much anything else!

"The talk will take place at the Britannia Hotel, New Street, Birmingham, from 7.45pm. Tickets are £3 for BSFG members, £4 for non-members.

"The following night, September 15th, the British Fantasy Society will be hosting an Open Night from 6.30 p.m. onwards at the Cornerhouse pub, Newhall Street, Birmingham. This will be an informal, free social night that's open to all. The aforementioned five members of the Write Fantastic will also be attending."
