Ian Whates of NewConPress writes to tell us about a forthcoming event to mark the launch of the new anthology disLOCATIONS.

The anthology is described as "A unique collection of original fiction, available as a limited run of only 500 copies."

The impressive contributors list comprises: Pat Cadigan, Chaz Brenchley, Hal Duncan, Brian Stableford, Andrew Hook, Adam Roberts, Amanda Hemingway, Andy West and Ken MacLeod.

And the book itself will be a fully-signed limited edition. The NewConPress website informs us: "Printed on high quality paper, each copy is numbered and signed by all contributors: the nine authors and editor plus cover artist Andy Bigwood.

"Every story is accompanied by a brief biographical piece about the author. None of the stories have ever appeared in print before and eight of them are newly written and completely original to the collection."

The launch event itself is taking place at at Peterborough central library on Monday 13th August, and starts at 7.00 p.m.

Ian explains the format for the evening: "Chaz Brenchley, Pat Cadigan, Amanda Hemingway, Ian Watson, Andy West and myself will be reading form the anthology, signing or personalising copies and generally mingling.

"Entrance is free, as are the wine and nibbles that will accompany the mingling. All are welcome."
