London Libraries Development Agency calling SF&F Small Presses
Posted in: What's On on 12th February 2007 by Sandy Auden
Juliet E McKenna has dropped us a line on behalf of the London Libraries Development Agency (LLDA). It seems that the LLDA are interested in talking to small and indie presses for their Autumn focus in 2007.
McKenna said: "Can you ask people to get in touch with me [via the Write Fantastic], with email addresses, weblinks, background etc, and then I can put a whole package together for the LLDA and we can hopefully see some kind of showcase come out of it.
"The LLDA also mentioned including graphic novels as this is something there's increasing interest in apparently. Lambeth Library now has a specific GN reading group!"
The event will be based in the UK, so please bear this in mind when sending details.

The London Libraries Development Agency are looking to talk to small, independent presses for their autumn focus and also mentioned to Juliet that they are interested in graphic novels too, building on the success of the Lambeth library’s graphic novel reading group and increased demand for graphic novels. Those publishers interested should get in touch with Juliet via the Write Fantastic site, which is a group of authors who try to showcase the breadth and depth in current fantasy writing to new readers (and any initiative to get more people reading is okay with me).
