More Malazan stories coming in 2007

Ian Cameron Esslemont has sold two fantasy books based in the World of the Malazan he created with friend and fellow author Steve Erikson. Bantam UK are already publishing Erikson's Malaz books and Esslemont will be augmenting those stories for them.

Sarah Ash has sold The Alchymist's Legacy fantasy duology to US publishers Bantam Spectra, a prequel/sequel to the wonderfully magical Tears of Artamon [Amazon] series.

Voyager UK acquires new novel by Martin, Dozois & Abraham

Voyager UK's Publishing Director, Jane Johnson has bought The Shadow Twin, a collaborative morality novel by genre legend George R.R. Martin, veteran editor Gardner Dozois and relative newcomer Daniel Abraham, via the Ralph Vicinanza agency in New York.

Solaris announces two new fantasy novel deals

The UK's newest publishing imprint, Solaris Books, has recently announced deals for two brand new fantasy novels for publication next year, one by veteran Dragonlance scribe Ed Greenwood, the second by hotshot newcomer James Maxey.

UK SF Book News has received the following books towards the end of November 2006, including new titles from Mary Gentle, K.J. Parker and David Langford; paperback editions from Adam Roberts and Justina Robson; plus reissues from Dan Simmons, Joe Haldeman and Elizabeth Moon. As always, many thanks to the publishers concerned for bringing these titles to our attention.
